Cesaerean sections are apparently so common and have been virtually perfected in todays medicine; it is amazing that physicians sometimes ignore the necessity to move forward with performing one in order to avoid this kind of devastating injury. While the verdict amount seems extremely high at first glance, considering what it will take to care for this child, who now suffers from debilitating cerebral palsy, such a verdict is not unreasonable.
